I'm going to be honest with you for a second.

When I first started thinking about leaving the clinical world, my LinkedIn was embarrassing.

My headline was just "Pharmacist", I had a generic headshot, a summary that was in third person !!

I looked exactly like what I was, someone with no idea how to present themselves outside of a dispensary.

If your LinkedIn is the same, keep reading for my 3 tips to fix your profile.

Day 1 - Fix the 3 things recruiters look at first:

① Your headline. This is the single highest-leverage change you can make. It shows up everywhere, search results, DMs, comment sections.

Stop writing your job title. Start writing your value proposition.

EXAMPLE | Before: "Pharmacist at Chemist Warehouse" After: "Pharmacist → Health-Tech & Clinical Operations | Open to MSL, CRA & Digital Health Roles"

Prompt: "Write me 5 LinkedIn headline variations. I'm a pharmacist pivoting into [target role]. I want to sound credible, modern, and relevant to the corporate and tech space."

② Your About section. Three paragraphs maximum. No life story.

→ Paragraph 1: Who you are and what you're moving toward

→ Paragraph 2: What you've actually done that's relevant (clinical expertise, communication, data, stakeholder management)

→ Paragraph 3: What you're open to and how to reach you

③ Your Featured section. Most pharmacists leave this completely blank.

This is prime real estate. Write a post and pin it to your featured section. Write about a resource you've created, a project, a course completion, anything that signals you are actively building toward something new.

Day 2 - Do these three things before you close your laptop:

→ Connect with 10 people at companies you want to work for (CROs, health-tech startups, pharma corporates)

→ Leave 5 genuine comments on posts from people in roles you want. This puts your name in front of their network

That's it. Two days. Your profile goes from invisible to searchable.
